Video Games

I've been playing video games since I was a kid. My fascination with video games eventually led to me becoming interested in making games. The games I play the most nowadays are League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of my other favorite games are the Mass Effect series, Metal Gear Solid series, and the Last of Us.

Swimming

I started swimming in Middle school and kept swimming competitively through high school. I ended up swimming distance my Sophomore year of high school since no one else would. I took this as a challenge to work hard and win the two distance events at the conference meet. My hard work eventually paid off when I
won JV conference in the 500 free and got second in the 200 free, losing to a
varsity swimmer that was pulled down for JV conference on another team. When
I started college I didn't have time to swim competitively but plan on swimming
more to stay in shape during my free time.

Water Polo

I had no idea how to play Water Polo until I joined the team my Freshman year of high school. It quickly became my favorite team sport and I quickly improved, making the Varsity Team in my Junior year. It does kind of disappoint me that more people don't know about or play Water Polo and that there isn't any sort of Water Polo team or club at RIT. Because of this, I have considered trying to start a club but I don't know anyone else here who plays Water Polo. However, when I am back home during Spring Break I join in on the high school team's practice and play some with the local club team during the summer.

Anime

Until I got into college, I didn't watch much TV or anime as I never had a TV in my room and my family didn't have Netflix until I got into college. Once I got into college a friend on my floor introduced my to anime after we had watched Avatar: The Legend of Korra together. I ended up watching quite a bit of anime in my two years I have been here so far. My favorite shows so far are Katanagatari, Spice and Wolf, and Fate/Zero. In terms of relating to Game Design, it is always good to be familiar with other forms of media as you can take aspects of other media and try to use them or incorporate them into a game you are making.
